What is the A1 Life Skills Test? The language test to help you get a visa to England.


The A1 Life Skills Test is a speaking and listening assessment that measures your ability to communicate in English at a basic level. This test is specifically designed for those applying for a spouse visa.

During the test, an examiner will ask you questions in English, allowing you to demonstrate your understanding of basic instructions and your ability to engage in simple conversations. You may discuss everyday topics like asking for directions, ordering food, or making a phone call.



What Does the Test Include?


The A1 Life Skills Test consists of two main parts: Speaking and Listening.

1.     Speaking:

In this section, the examiner will ask you questions about familiar topics such as your personal information, family, work, and hobbies. You will need to respond in English, showcasing your ability to communicate in everyday situations.

2.     Listening:
